Description
A uniquely marked species of Ancistomus, the L141, L215 or Ghost Pleco is found in rocky and sandy stretches of the middle Tapajos in Brazil, where it inhabits warm, clear, shallow waters. A bold and outgoing species, they are omnivores with a slight preference toward protein rich foods such as insect larvae or crustaceans in the wild. In the aquarium, they are a hardy species that will do best in well-oxygenated, warm water with moderate to strong current.
