Description
Farlowella Catfish has origins that are traced back to Venezuela, and may also go by the name Whiptail Cat or Twig Cat. These are very peaceful and calm specimens that do quite well in a community tank. They have an olive green to a yellowish brown coloration, with yellow on its underside. An irregular dark band runs from the head to the root of the tale, and is one of the more distinctive features of this fish.
Algae is their preferred food, but they also will eat plants, rocks, and wood. You can also supplement with Algae Discs. This is an easy fish to care for as long as you do not make water changes to the tank and they prefer a heavily planted aquarium. Size at shipping: vary about 3″ – 4″+.
